The name of the quilt is Frogs and Bugs. Pieced by Barbara B; Quilted by Leslie McSorley The Crafty Unicorn Quilting. Pattern is unknown and the size is 48" X 60". I used the Giant Swirls template. I love the way the Swirls look like ripples in the water of the pond.

This is a customer quilt and it it huge! Well, big. It was pieced by Pat Krier and I quilted it for Chestnut Ridge Sewing in Millersburg, OH.
I used the Featherz Wreath, micro featherz wreath, Aztec, 18" crosshatch, ZigZag board, 7 Treasures board. The only thing I did freehand was the Border that has daisies and leaves. It was a LOT of work!! I did a lot of SID too.
I think it looks wonderful! What do you think??

Red Batik Wholecloth with 7 Treasures & Diamondz

The fabric used in this quilt is Timeless Treasures hand dyed batik. I used two panels and pieced them to make the 60" square quilt. I placed a trio of the elements from the 7 Treasures giant template in each corner and a grouping of four elements in the center of the quilt. I used the front stylus system and the Diamondz template as well as the blade from the basic Circle Lord for the arcs to tie the diamonds, corner and center designs together. I like the 7 Treasures of Buddah template because there is a lot of open area available within the elements for additional quilting and enhancement.

The quilt is 98” x 80” Stack and Wack on a white background. The top was done by Arlie and I quilted it for her using the Circle Lord Aztec small and large template and the Mini Feathers/Spider Web template as well as the Circle Lord circle for the little circles. The border is piano keyed. I filled in with a stipple.

Pieced and Quilted by Judi Olson. This is my version of the "Ember's" Pattern. It is about 54" by 72" I had 3 blocks left over and made a tablerunner too. Really fun using Bright Yellow, Orange, Maroon and Violet threads. I used the Spiral Template in the center and the wavy lines in the outer border were done by free-hand. I saw this about 2 yrs ago on the CL blog - I think it was done by Carol - and just HAD to do one!! A quilt shop in town ordered the pattern and fabric for me. Then my quilt hung in their shop while they sold kits - Everyone is happy!

I LOVE bright colors and just had to do something with this fabic!! Pieced and Quilted by Judi Olson. I call it "Bright - Wild & Daisy" it is about 37" by 50" and I put lots of little tiny black seed beads in the center of the big flowers. I used the Little Cross-hatching template to do the outer border.

This queen size quilt was pieced by Stacey Green. I used the feathers template in each of the 8 squares surrounding the center star. Freehand feathers were added to the light sections inside the inner border. The outer border was quilted with the cable template. Other techniques were used for the remaining areas.

Thirty-three members of the La Crosse Area Quilt Guild made blocks for this quilt. I pieced the quilt and quilted it using the Swirls template. It's named Tropical Turnover, and it measures 92" by 92" inches.

The quilt will be raffled off in August. Each member who worked on the quilt, or paid their dues on time will have a chance to win.

Civil War Sampler This is a twin size Civil War fabric sampler quilt, pieced by Katie M. as a gift to a Civil War buff. She chose the Circle Lord Clam Shell template because she had researched and learned that the clam shell quilting pattern was used during the Civil War era.

The batting is wool. Notice the tiny pieces in this quilt. I think Katie did great, and she's a fairly new quilter.

Finally getting around to re-posting this quilt from October. It's a faux Baltimore Album, done with pre-printed blocks. I used alternate neutral setting blocks as I needed to stretch it to a queen sized quilt for my niece's wedding gift. Used CL feathered wreaths (turning both clockwise and counter clockwise) in the alternate blocks, and CL tile template to do the piano keyed border. I tried to do a different freehand background filler in each of the "applique" blocks, but did crosshatch more than one. I find my creativity wanes when I'm on a deadline. I put the final stitches in the label at noon, and the wedding was at 2 pm!

This is a Carolina Courthouse Steps. I like this picture, because it is actually 2 quilts. My friend made the one on the right. I liked it so much that I made my version (on the left) with a bit different fabric selection. Then I quilted mine with the Circle Lord swirls and she liked that so much that she also wanted the Circle Lord swirls on hers. So voila! Here are our two quilts. I layed them side by side, so it almost looks like one quilt. A small difference in the two quilts is that my friend added a piano key border and mne has no border.

This is a large lap or small twin size quilt. It was pieced by Joedy R, who loves Civil War fabrics and I think bought some of all of the Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown fabric collection. Her quilts are always so "rich" looking.

I used the Circle Lord Waves template because we used a wool blanket as the batting and didn't need dense quilting. I think the wave was just the right amount of quilting withouit being too much.

This is a quilt I did this past weekend. I used the CL Spiro Thingy in all of the white blocks as well as the 4 corner black blocks. Then I used the CL Aztec Mini template in the rest of the black blocks. Then in the intersections of where the blocks meet I used the basic CL 12" squircle to add 4" & 2" circles.

The first pic is of the front, the second is of the back so you can see more detail.

I picked up two contrasting plush throws to use on this project.

CL 7 Treasures (board) in the center and Zig Zag (board) on the edge.
QD Puff batting.
Maxilock Swirls, top and bottom.
I decided to use the CL Zig Zag (and curvy Zig Zag) to use as the actual border edge instead of clipping the fringe, as the plush was too soft and shedding a lot.
This little "softie" whipped up in a couple hours, thanks to Circle Lord.

I made up this pattern using Moda charm squares on the front and a stunning complementary sunflower motif for the backing. The CL square dance template was a great choice on this colorful quilt. It is an easy template to follow and provides great results. Quilt measures approximately 52 x 68.”

After seeing the charm quilt I had made for myself with almost 800 different fabrics, the parents wanted the same pattern using their baby’s clothing. It turned out to be a good choice for the pattern since so many of the clothing pieces were tiny. The 91 x 96” quilt contains 1026 two by five inch rectangles, along with about a dozen squares appliquéd with larger clothing pieces. To make matters more interesting, the parents wanted “puffy” batting. I decided to use the CL zig zag template which allowed me to complete this challenging project with ease.

This quilt was made by my customers mother she pass away before she finished so her daughter finished it and got me to quilt it special for her
She called the quilt FREE SPIRIT it was 65 x 76 inches
I did large 1 inch spiral on bottom right,on top of that i did Ginko G1 pattern, on top of that is 1/2 inch spiral
Middle blue block i did Ginko B + C
Block above that i did Aztec sunrise, right to that is stars
Top Left i did Aztec bowl pattern

T-Shirt Quilt with Swirls!

This is one I did from scratch for a customer's daughter. I added the sashing and stabilized the T-shirts.
Thanks to directions from my friend on the Forum, Sylvia; it turned out great!
The same lady gave me 2 more to do!! Yippee! T-shirt quilts are not my favorite thing to do, but bring a lot of $$ and the Circle Lord makes it go soooo fast!

G 275 - Ohio Star - Trillium

The body of this quilt is made up of Ohio Star blocks with sashing and borders to make the quilt 92" x 104". Most of the fabrics are from the Windsor Rose line by Fabri-Quilt and I used the Trillium template for overall quilting. It takes four passes to complete the design, with two different paths. I found the template and paths easy to follow and resulting design very pretty.

This quilt is 44" x 44" and is made from a hand dyed batik panel. I named it "Argyle Illusion" because the curved crosshatching along with the colors of the fabric and Rainbow thread remind me of argyle. In addition to the basic Circle Lord I used the Curved Crosshatching template, Ginko, Aztec and Diamondz templates. The quilting was done using the CL Front System.

This quilt is an adaptation of a pattern that I found on the internet by Cyndi Walker and it is called Flowr Patch. I used a Moda Layer Cake fabric pack called Gypsy Rose and added the tan fabric as accent and borders. The quilt measures 52" x 52". For the quilting I used the Featherz and Micro Featherz templates, the large Crosshatch template, wavy line from the Rope templates, the Cable templates, and the fish border from the Clam Shell templates, with free motion fill along the outside border and around the cable. With the exception of the long templates all of the quilting was done using the CL Front System.

This is the first quilt I've completed using my new Circle Lord. I used the "Swirls" template boards . Like every one has said at one time or another---It easy and fun!
