G 50 - Kathy Henderson - Giant Zig-Zag and Giant Clams

This original quilt was designed and pieced by Elaine Bouska for her daughter Katelyn. I quilted the center square and the outside corner areas with the Giant Zig Zag and Waves template, and the Pushbutton Tool. The zig zag lines were used to create a 1 inch crosshatch. I quilted the outside center areas using the Giant Clam and the Pushbutton Tool. While stitching the clams, I added the pampas grass variation freehand. The fan areas were quilted freehand. The quilt measures 100" by 101" inches.

D 48 - Betty Tyree - 18" Crosshatch and Up Front Stylus System

This quilt was a kit from JoAnn Fabrics, made by Loretta Bedia for donation to "Relay for Life". This quilt is a queen size. On this quilt I used the crosshatch template, only using one direction of diagonal lines. Because of the front of the machine stylus, I was able to work on this quilt from the front of the machine.

G 47 - Betty Tyree - Giant Square Dance Template

This quilt was made by Elaine Eanes for her daughter's 40th birthday. Just to make sure her daughter remembered that it was for a significant birthday, Elaine put 20 fabrics on the front and 20 fabrics on the back and used the pattern Turning Twenty Again. This is a queen size quilt. I used the Square Dance Template.

D 46 - Kathy Henderson - Circle Lord Base and Squircle

I chose to quilt various size concentric circles, disregarding the circles in the quilt pattern. Then I quilted freehand designs between the circles. This wall hanging was pieced by Ruth Ann Benson and is 63" x 64".

G 45 - Kathy Henderson - Zig Zag and Push Button System

This child's quilt was pieced by the staff of Olive Juice Quilts in Onalaska, Wisconsin. By using the Giant Zig Zag template, I was able to use the zig zag design along with the wave from the template. I chose to emphasize the zig zag design of the quilt pattern along with the tadpoles in the fabric. I loaded the quilt sideways and quilted the body of the quilt with the Push Button tool. For added interest, I quilted the border with the same template. This produced the zig zag and wave pattern vertically on the body of the quilt and horizontally on the border

D 44 - Kathy Henderson - Basic Circles and Aztec

This quilt was pieced by the staff of Olive Juice Quilt in Onalaska, Wisconsin. I used the basic circle and Aztec templates to quilt interlocking circle designs throughout the quilt. The quilt measures 56" x 69".

G 39 - Joy's - Star Quilt - Zig Zag

Just a simple star quilt
Around 50 x 50 inches
On this quilt I used the zig zag large template
I did every row and used a maroon cotton

G 38 - Pam Richard's - Zen Bedspread - Swirls

I love your swirl template. This 100 x 100" quilt is LQS quality flannel front and back with W&N batting, zero issues. I think the swirls are a great contrast to all the squares and straight lines. Every other flannel quilt of any size that I've ever seen was done with a big ole sloppy meander. This is so superior to that and didn't take much longer. This quilt will NEVER come apart, lol.

Incredibly fast to quilt, and I find going through the motions of the swirls almost a Zen experience. I become very calm and focused, which is the opposite of how I am when I'm freehandquilting.

G 37 - Libby Gamble - Flowers in the Cabin - Aztec

I made this quilt for a wedding last August. The pattern “Flowers in the Cabin” was taken from the “Big Book of Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts” and I enlarged it so that it was a VERY BIG king size. I used the Aztec disc (I love this disc) for the flowers and stitched in the ditch the rest. The border was a freehand stipple.

D 36 - Libby Gamble - Heather's quilt - Aztec - Circles

This lap size quilt was made by a very good friend of mine, Heather. The front and backing is flannel.

I have sent a picture of the back because the quilting on the front does not show up well. I used the Circlelord for the centre circle and the Aztec template for the scalloped flowers. The border was freehand and the rest was stitch in the ditch.

D 35 - Barb Cowan - 550 Circles - CL Circles

This quilt was done in 2003 when there were no templates, just the Circlelord Basic+

The photos are of two quilts both quilted very similarly using my new wonderful Circle Lord, have a look. Believe it or not there are over 550 circles on each quilt, ranging in size from 3/4" to 5"." Photos and text with permission of Barb Cowan and Be Be Bold

D 34 - Joan Hug-Valeriote - Summer - CL - Spirals - Curved Crosshatch

Sunflowers in the Snow:
This whole cloth quilt has a silk batting. It was conceived as a "summer quilt" and made the right size to stuff in the duvet cover in the in-between seasons. The centres of the sunflowers are made with the Circle Lord. The leaves are freehand. 84" x 88"

Templates - Spirals, Crosshatch, Curved Crosshatch.

D 33 - Linda Mae Diny - Baptist Fan Blade quilt

I decided that it needed Baptist fan quilting, but I wanted to follow the "rounds" of the quilt. Using the basic Circle Lord with the large Squircle, I started the quilting with concentric circles in the very center of the quilt. A cross of concentric half circles in the center of the quilt was stitched using the Baptist Fan Blade. Concentric quarter circles fill in each of the corners of the quilt, also stitched using the Baptist Fan Blade.
I started the quilting at the very center of the quilt and worked my way to the bottom of the quilt. Once I finished this half, I turned the quilt and once again starting at the center, I worked my way to the other edge of the quilt. The quilting worked with no problems or puckering. The quilting really enhanced thedesign with the quarter circles perfectly rounding each corner of the piecing.

G 32 - Cindy Drake and Granddaughter Kaleigh - Zig Zag and Swirls

The flag quilt was pieced by me, Cindy Drake, and quilted by my granddaughter, Kaleigh, when she was about 11. The pattern is designed by LeAnn Keenan. I would guess its size at about 90 X 68. Circle Lord template used was the Zig-Zag pattern.

The smaller quilt was made entirely by Kaleigh. She designed, cut out, pieced, quilted, and bound it. The only supervision she had from me was in learning to advance the quilt to set the row properly. She is now 14. Although she had used the Zig-Zag template several years ago to quilt the flag quilt, she thought the Swirls template was more complex. By the time she got to the end of the quilt you could see that she was a lot more relaxed in her stitches. This quilt is about 43 X 43.

G 29 - Georgene - Halloween quilt - Water

Since no one has posted a quilt using the Water Template, I thought I'd post this Halloween Quilt with the Spider (from the Small Feathered Wreath template), which I stitched on the quilt at several locations. I also stitched the fly (from that same template) with the spider, but this was the best closeup shot.
