D 205 Judi Olson - Large Crosshatch Template

This quit was pieced by Cathy Young. The pattern maker and designer are unknown. The quilt measures 42” x 42”.This was Cathy’s first attempt at using stencils and paint sticks on fabric. I loved the colors she used, and knew that this would probably be a sample for a class too. So - I had an idea.... using the CL large crosshatching template and marking the quilt edges, I planned on making a sort of "candy cane" stripe. I used Superior Gold Metallic thread for the lines, and black A&E Permacore for the ribbon candy quilting and the McTavishing within the body of the quilt.
