I was preparing to quilt this French Braid quilt when the Circle Lord Challenge was presented and I decided to use the 7 Treasures of Buddha templates for the first time. As always, quilting with the CL templates was quick and easy. The challenge was to get creative with the CL templates and when I looked at the quilting I immediately saw butterflies! Each butterfly is is different, and along the borders I used an element from the Clam Shells templates and embellished them with swirls.
The quilt pattern is from the "French Braid Quilts" book by Jane Hardy Miller and the quilt dimensions are 55" x 70"
