D 199 Judi Olson - Mary Peg's - 1" Crosshatch

This quilt was pieced by Mary Peg Lombard. The pattern and designer are unknown. The quilt size is 66” x 66”. I used the CL 1" cross hatching template for the outer border on this - LOVE that tool! This quilt worked out perfectly!! Lots of ruler work - using Superior Gold Metallic thread. The holly leaves are all free-hand using the piecing as guidelines. I think the way the rays radiated out from that block. It almost gives them a Cross-like look. Mary Peg really liked the McTavishing around the little birds - I gave them wings so they could fly!
